This project is in the development stages and consists of six modestly sized 3-storey townhouse units ranging from approximately 1400-1800 sq.ft. The main floor is an open concept design. Each unit has three bedrooms and either three or four bathrooms.
The overall design strategy hinges on creating a pedestrian and outdoor amenity oriented project that draws from the strengths of the existing neighbourhood. At street level, front porches create an architectural rhythm and layering of outdoor spaces that enlivens the pedestrian experience and breaks down the building to a human scale.
Additional outdoor spaces are layered onto the building in the form of balconies that animate the inner courtyard that overlooks the interior “street” below. It is in this courtyard lined with pedestrian pavers that parking is tucked away beneath the building. The typical “front” and “back” designation of the building is blurred as the outdoor amenity spaces create a public presence. At the level of the roof, a generous outdoor terrace provides further outdoor amenity space for residents.
