Clarice joined Christopher Simmonds Architect in 2013 and is a registered architect in Ontario and Michigan. She has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Professional Masters degree in Architecture from Princeton University. Clarice has worked on large-scale international projects in the EU, UK and US and on many custom residential projects in the US and Canada. Her career has taken her from professional practice, to museum design, to teaching, and back to practice. She taught Architectural Design and Theory for many years in Toronto and Winnipeg, including six years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba where she worked with the Canada Green Building Council to develop LEED courses for University students. Clarice also has a degree in Art History and has experience in The Fine Arts, Archaeology and Historic Preservation. Her love of modern architecture is informed by these interests.
She approaches design with an attitude of stewardship, both to the environment and to individual resources.
Clarice’s time away from work is spent with her busy family and two curious and creative kids.
