We are delighted to be the architects working with Windmill Development Corporation on a very fun project in Ottawa’s “Hintonburg” area. Located on Wellington Street, this 6-storey, 57 unit condo building will have retail on the ground floor and a range of condos above it – from studios to 2-bedroom units. Targeting LEED Platinum the building will, among other features, have geothermal heating and cooling, use finishes that are made from sustainable materials, use water saving washroom fittings and have Energy Star appliances. There is also a secure and easily accessible bike room – downtown Ottawa is only a 5 minute bike ride after all.
A rooftop terrace with BBQs and hot tub, retail on the ground level, modern interior designs, and a fully automated underground puzzle parking system (as “green” as parking can be!) – not to mention a neighbourhood that is alive with innovative businesses, new restaurants, galleries and breweries – together make this a very cool urban building.
