Escarpment House

Halton Hills, Ontario

The hipped roof wings of this Asian influenced house radiate out in four directions to integrate the structure with the site topography and enhance the owner's experience of the surrounding landscape. It enjoys an intimate relationship with its garden and outdoor spaces - at the same time maximizing the experience of the larger landscape context of public paths and conservation lands.

The pivotally located home office space has views through the open plan living areas to forested conservation lands to the east and south.
