Four years after moving into their new home, the client knew what their back garden needed - a pool, a deck for entertaining, and a shady spot to sit and read while keeping an eye on their son and his friends in the pool.
The garden invites you to stay for awhile - and what better place than under the shade structure that looks like it is hovering over the deck and could fly away in a moment.

Our entomology consultant was Andrew, aged 12, who reviewed the shade structure design and quickly pointed out a shortage of legs and an incorrect wing shape if we were striving for a butterfly. "Four legged short tailed nymph" is probably a more appropriate description for our structure - however for those of us weak in this field of study - "butterfly" seems to fill the bill.
