Accu-Lift Flooring System

Ottawa, Ontario

The new 8,300 sq.ft headquarters building was designed in close collaboration with the owner and contractor in a design build relationship. The open office plan and day lighting features create a modern efficient work environment that showcases the company, its product and its strong commitment to conservation principles. The building is comprised of offices, a public showroom, warehouse space and a small garden for seasonal use by staff.

Designed through an interactive process with the community, construction techniques were selected to allow semi-skilled community labour to participate in the building process. The building achieves a 32% reduction in energy consumption relative to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings.

The building achieves a 30% reduction in energy consumption and received funding under the Canadian Building Incentive Program.
