Creating Community

The creation of every built environment presents us with the opportunity to encourage privacy and autonomy as well as interaction and participation - in other words to encourage "community". The starting point for this process is to listen carefully to all stakeholders, understand peoples' needs, build consensus and create win-win opportunities. The result is that building users take pride of ownership and responsibility for their projects. Holistic Design

A holistic approach to design gives primary importance to the well-being of the user and their experience of the building.

As architects, we use an intuitive approach to the principles of Feng Shui dealing with harmony and the balance in the environment that involves sensing the subtle energy of nature. The building is supported by the natural form of the land and makes gestures to enhance and enjoy its relationship with the nurturing and sustaining energies that nature provides.
